zysk is a small portfolio and stock tracker. This page says, in plain English, what it keeps about you and why.
Who is responsible
zysk is run by Linus, a private individual in Denmark, who is the data controller. Contact: [email protected].
What is stored
- Your email address and a password hash (never the password itself).
- Your portfolios, transactions, watchlists and recently viewed stocks.
- AI results made for you: scorecards, briefings and news tags.
- If you add your own AI key: the key, encrypted, plus its last 4 characters so you can recognise it.
- Your IP address, only in short-lived memory for rate limits. It isn't written to your account.
Why
To provide the service you signed up for (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)). There are no ads, no tracking and no selling of data.
Who else processes it
- Resend sends account emails (confirmation, password reset).
- OpenAI runs zysk's shared AI and its web searches. Your question and the portfolio figures it needs are sent with each AI request. OpenAI doesn't use API data to train its models.
- PrimaLabs writes the short summaries of news headlines in the Feed. Only public headlines are sent, no personal data.
- Your own AI provider, if you add your own Anthropic, OpenAI or Gemini key: your AI requests go to them under your own agreement with them.
- Cloudflare carries the network traffic.
- Yahoo Finance and the SEC supply market data. No personal data is sent to them.
- TradingView draws the chart on a stock page only if you switch that chart to "TradingView". It then loads from TradingView's servers, which see your IP address and browser, as any website you visit does. zysk sends them nothing else.
Where
On a server in Denmark.
How long
Until you delete your account. Accounts whose email is never confirmed are deleted after 7 days.
Your rights
You can see and export your data, correct it, and delete your account at any time in Settings (Export my data, Delete account). For anything else, write to [email protected]. You can complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency, Datatilsynet.
