AI stock heatmap

A stock heatmap is a treemap of a market: every company is a tile sized by its market value and coloured by how much its share price moved, green for up and red for down. zysk draws heatmaps of the big indices for free, and its AI builds one for any market you describe.

How to read a stock heatmap

The size of a tile is the company's market capitalisation, the total value of its shares. That is why Apple, Microsoft and NVIDIA fill much of a US map, and Novo Nordisk fills much of the Danish one. A big tile moving matters more for the index than a small one.

The colour is the share price move over the chosen period. On zysk the scale is full green at +3% and full red at −3% for a single day (wider for a week, a month or the year to date), so a map that is mostly dark grey was a quiet day and a map that is bright red everywhere was a sell-off.

Tiles are grouped by sector. When a whole block turns the same colour, the move is about the sector (rates for banks, oil for energy, a drug trial for pharma). When one tile stands out against its neighbours, it's company news: earnings, a guidance change or a deal.

Build a heatmap with AI

The presets cover the big indices. For everything else, describe the market in a few words and zysk's AI picks the stocks, groups them into sub-sectors and draws the map with live prices. You can switch it between day, week, month and year to date, save it, and share it as a link. Try one of these in the app:

The AI only chooses which stocks belong on the map. Prices, market caps and moves come from market data, not from the AI, and every symbol it suggests is checked before it's drawn.
